Review: Trying out False Lashes

False lashes are something that never really appealed to me in the past, they just looked too much like hard work (I'm like the laziest person ever). But I decided to pick some up for my work Christmas meal and I think I'm now hooked....

I decided to pick up the Fleur de Force by Eylure 'Fleur Loves' pack because these are only 3/4 length and just add volume to the ends of your lashes. The packaging of all of Fleur's lashes are so beautiful and I love all the pastel colours she's used. As I said the 'Fleur Loves' lashes are 3/4 length, I did have to cut them down a bit because they were a bit too big for my eyes but after that they fitted perfectly. I then applied the glue, waited a couple of seconds and then applied them to my lash line. This was my first time trying false lashes so I expected things to get very messy however I was so surprised at how easy they were to apply. I used tweezers at first but then ended up just using my fingers to push them as close to the lash line as possible.

As well as the application I was also really happy with how natural they looked. These lashes also have a messy/ crossed-over effect which I really like because they don't look to perfect, they looked natural but gave my lashes more volume and flattered my eye shape. It says on the pack that you don't need to use mascara but I did use a bit to make my real eyelashes more black and blended into the false ones. Overall I'm so impressed with these and will definitely be buying more in the future, I think they're good for £5.25 and you can use them again. I'd also totally recommend them to any other false lash newbies, they're not as scary as they look!

(also I just noticed how badly I put them back in the pack! I needed to re-do these photo's so had to re-package them myself but don't worry they look a lot neater than that when they're first bought!)
